How I 10x'd my growth within minutes

There’s been periods this year, where I’ve seen no results or progression in my personal growth, my business, relationship etc.

It's like I hit a ceiling.

I’m usually self-responsible enough to acknowledge when I’ve been way too complacent and comfortable, but still I didn’t know what was blocking me or slowing me down…

It wasn’t until I started looking at my shadow, the unconscious part of me, the parts of me that’s been hiding away, the parts I didn’t want to acknowledge, but low key knew was there.

Specifically, around… Projections.

I quickly learned the notion - We will not become who we judge and project onto.

My process was to look at the people who are leaders in my industry, and acknowledge out of those who did I feel the most resistance towards and who I judged the most.

The results was confronting, those who I looked up to and ideally wanted to be one day, I had some form of judgement of them, and projected my insecurities onto them.

These judgements and projections stopped me from listening and learning from them, essentially avoiding them. Which meant I blocked my growth.

e.g. One thought leader I admired, I judged him to be too ‘woo woo’ and spiritual, so I stopped learning from his work. What I was really doing was projecting the denying of my own spirituality and the fear of expressing it into the world. Fearing I will be judged, the same way I was judging him.

This is where I learned, I will not become who I judge.

So, unconsciously I was preventing myself from becoming a success like these leaders, because I avoided becoming like them in fear of the judgement I will receive.

Hence, I found ways to sabotage myself and remain small, safe and comfortable.

As soon as I received this big metaphoric slap across the face, I turned my judgement into curiosity and admiration.

I used this energy to dive deeper into their work, and since I made this split decision, my growth in all areas of my life has 10x.

Which has reflected in the growth of intimacy in my relationship, the expansion of my skillset as coach, the results I'm having with clients, and the content I will continually produce from now on.

Be careful what you judge in others!
