Leadership Journey

A structured 12-month program for cohorts of new and emerging leaders, the people your organisation has bet on but never actually developed.

The Pattern

You promoted your best performer six months ago.

She's still learning the job by trial and error, with no framework, no peer group, and no benchmark for whether she's doing it right.

Multiply that across every high-potential your organisation has developed technically and left to figure out leadership alone, and you have a bench that isn't keeping pace with your growth.

This is who I work with:

Team leaders and newly appointed managers finding their feet

High-potentials tapped for growth but never structurally developed

Cohorts who've left their peer group behind and haven't found a new one at the leadership level

Organisations that have tried one-off training before and watched it fail to change behaviour

What Changes

  • Leaders who make the shift from doing the work to leading the people who do it

  • The full toolkit, feedback, delegation, difficult conversations, managing performance

  • A genuine leadership identity

  • A peer group going through the same thing, so the struggle stops feeling isolating

  • Development that compounds over time, instead of fading like a one-off workshop

What This Looks Like in Practice

A cohort learning the job in real time, not in theory

A group of newly promoted managers spent their first year avoiding the same conversation, giving direct feedback to someone they used to work alongside as a peer.

Once it was named as a shared, common struggle rather than a personal failing, it stopped being something each of them silently carried alone.

By the end of the year, feedback had gone from the thing they dreaded to a normal part of how they led.

A high-potential who stopped guessing

A strong individual performer, six months into her first leadership role, had no way to tell if she was doing the job well, no benchmark, no one to ask without it looking like she couldn't handle it.

Structured, sustained development gave her both the framework and the peer group to know she wasn't behind, she was simply doing what nobody had trained her for.

She's since become one of the people other new leaders go to first.

What the Organisation Sees

  • A leadership bench that actually exists, when a senior role opens, there's someone ready, instead of a scramble to hire externally at a premium

  • Retention of high-potentials, people who can see themselves developing stay, people who can't then leave

  • Behaviour that actually changes, not another training day that fades by the following week

  • Leadership capability that scales with growth, instead of falling behind it

How It Works

Ten structured modules across the year, plus a wrap-up month, real development, without pulling hands-on, client-facing people off the floor for too long at once.

One module and one group coaching session per month is the core rhythm; the learning is designed to be applied on the job between sessions and brought back to the group, so it compounds rather than sits in a folder

What’s Included

Core Program

Includes:

  • Initial briefing with the sponsor to scope the cohort

  • Cohort onboarding and baseline assessment

  • 10 structured modules across the year

  • 10 monthly group coaching sessions

  • A development plan and learning journal per participant

  • Between-module application and accountability

  • Mid- and end-point re-measurement, with an outcomes report to the sponsor

Optional Upgrades

  • 1:1 coaching per participant

  • Individual assessment and debrief

  • Tripartite check-ins with participants' managers

Run as a cohort with a minimum group size, every program is scoped to your organisation once we understand the group.

Why It Holds

Group development only works if it stays genuinely more accessible than individual coaching, otherwise, why not just buy that instead? The core here is built lean on purpose: real capability built through modules and group coaching, with 1:1 coaching available as an add-on for those who want to go deeper, not a hidden cost baked into everyone's price.

What Clients Are Saying

  • Turned disengaged students into engaged ones.

“Evan prepared and presented a thoroughly engaging program for a group of our Year 10 students who had actively disengaged from our typical co-curricular program. He worked positively and warmly with all of them, much to the delight of the supervising staff, and was able to work within the school's logistical boundaries.

He developed the program in concert with our staff and eventually with the students themselves. Giving the students that level of responsibility and ownership really empowered them, and was a key reason for so many positive outcomes. I'd wholeheartedly recommend Evan to any other educational institution.”
