What keeps men suffering?

As men, it’s easy to feel alone.

We are all deeply flawed, with scars and all.

We keep it to ourselves bottled up, because we don’t want to be too much for someone.

We don’t want to drain others with our problems.

We don’t want to be a burden.

So we continue to suffer silently and bottle everything up, continuing to hold up a front that everything is okay.

A front that’s strong enough to create a perception to everyone around us we have it all together, so there is no need to question us or our competency.

At the same time, a front that could collapse at any moment, so we continue to isolate ourselves in protection of the image we’ve worked so hard to create.

All the while, we continue to suffer in silence and wonder how anyone can ever love us.

Until one day, we choose to courageously reveal ourselves to another man or group of men.

Men who are on the same journey of wanting to become a better man, and create a better world.

Men who are willing to listen, share their unconditional presence without judgement, and want to fully understand who we are without our titles and achievements.

Men who accept us no matter what we’ve done and who remain reaction-less despite revealing our scars.

Men who courageously share their own scars, because they too see themselves in us.

These men become our brothers, and it’s in this sacred connection we learn we are enough, we are lovable and valuable.

It’s in this connection we feel liberated to be ourselves, the greatest freedom of all.

This is my life purpose, and the reason why I created the Ascension Men’s Community.

To create a space for men to liberate themselves from their suffering and provide the environment for us to thrive as our authentic masculine selves once again.

Men need men, and there are men in this journey of life who want to help other men.

You’re not alone.
